What is Rahopuru?

Rahopuru is a Maori, family-owned cafe with a strong focus on producing
high quality coffee and food using ingredients sourced locally.
Owned and operated by Alex Foster and his hard working team.

In english, the name simply translates to 'Avocado' which was chosen to

Behind the Motto

The motto of Rahopuru is 'Whangaihia to tinana ki te kai organic',
which translates to 'Nourish your body with organic kai'.

It is Rahopuru's aim to provide 100% organic food that is both good for
your body and delicious. The motto was chosen as it greatly reflects
these values. We are proud to have a motto in Te Reo Maori, it reminds
us of where we came from and strengthens the bond we have with our
tradtions.

Everything we do at Rahopuru, we do with both our family and the earth
in mind. That's why we use bio-degradable packaging and to-go cups,
minimise our plastic waste and use eco-friendly practices.

Our family isn't just those who work here. Every customer is a part of
the Rahopuru family. We will provide every customer with the highest
level of professional service, and products we would be proud to serve
to our closest friends and family.
